There's a difference between making a film holding these conventions and just making a terrible film, and thats what hostel was. a terrible film.

look it may not be a good film but the director was in some country where these sick psychopaths really exist and he went to czech republic krumlov and made the movie there cause they would slaughter him so it's a good warning to watch out for these sick fucks

The trailers are great. Zombie did not rip off Ilsa because as far as I know there were no werewolves in Ilsa, and if you did enough research on the Nazi grindhouse genre, they ALL rip off Ilsa in one way or another because they all have a near naked woman who tortures men sexually. So get over it. All these directors were influences by the 70's grindhouse cinema, why shouldn't they be able to repay those great directors of the day with these brilliant trailers?
